Official Payment Notification Interpol Scam

A compensation payment email sent to you by no less than the Head of Interpol, Valdecy Urquiza. Many long words, your urgent response is requested and you stand to be paid €15,000,000.00. How do they know that I am a rightful beneficiary? I don't know but should I question this easy money? Do question any offer of a very large amount of money, it is a 419 Advanced Fee Scam.

Notes: Inconsistencies... why does the Head of Interpol supposedly based in Lyon, France email from a Thai academic domain name email address and why is the reply address a free outlook email account? The answer is simple the person contacting you isn't the head of interpol who would have access to an official interpol address which is of the form persons-name@interpol.int.

They do have the correct name for the head of interpol but that is just a matter of public record and full information including photograph of Valdecy Urquiza is available on wikipedia amongst other sources.

Recommendation:

Just delete the e-mail, don't click on any links.
