Facebook ID Verification Phishing Scam

This email appears to be official, it seems to come from an official facebook email address but the click through link is not to an official facebook page. This is a phishing scam where scammers wish to take control of your facebook account.

Subject: We received a request to verify your identity for your account

Hello,

Recently, we received a request to verify a copy of an ID for your account. This is part of our process when we ask you to send a copy of an ID with your name on it to assist in verifying your identity.

What you can do

If you sent this request, you don't need to do anything further.

If you don't recognize this request, please log in to https://ahihi.uno/help and complete the 2-factor authentication process when prompted. Please do not send additional requests for ID verification.

Thank you for your understanding!
The Facebook Team

This message was sent to you at your request.

Notes:

The sender email address appears to be a genuine facebook address but there are ways that the sender email address can be faked.

The click through web address: https://ahihi.uno/help is a definite "red flag"... it is not a facebook web address, a .uno extension being a less common domain extension possibly obtained by the scammers with an introductory discount. Furthermore a whois check showed that the ahihi.uno domain name was only registered on the 10th Feb 2026, a genuine facebook webpage would have been in existence longer than just a few weeks.

Recommendation: Do not clck on the link, Ignore and delete the email
